Dr. Louis McDuffy, (Pastor) and Brenda McDuffy, (Chaplain) were raised in Christian Homes on the same block of West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They eventually moved away and did not meet again until 1967. They married the next year in 1968 while he was still on active duty.
Pastor McDuffy had his first unusual religious experience at 12 years of age. By the time he was 19, his Pastor told him that he had taught him all he could, and that God would guide him from that point forward. He began writing religious articles for a small local newspaper in the early sixties. He mentored students who became prominent citizens.
Dr. McDuffy graduated from a Jesuit University with a major in Mathematics and Physics, and a minor in Religious Affairs. Over the years he has matriculated at a number of colleges, seminaries, and universities where he was awarded a Masters degree in Organizational Management and Leadership with a minor in Community Counseling, and a Doctorate in the Bible. Additionally, Dr. McDuffy represented the State of Delaware when asked to attend multiple colleges and universities where he specialized in Prolonged Exposure Therapy to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Trauma Informed Care, caring for service members, veterans and their famillies. Dr. McDUffy’s lengthy experience counseling veterans while never losing a client or television viewer who called and was ready to end their life helped him a great deal as commander of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 3 New Castle County.
Dr. Louis and Chaplain Brenda McDuffy successfully raised a large family. Their children work in positions of medical doctors, professors, attorneys, and scientists.
