How To Be Saved

The Bible says in Psalms Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thy
anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over. 6. Surely goodness and mercy
shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
for- ever. Psalm 23

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in
the land of the shadow of death, upon them have the light shined. Isaiah 9:2 The
people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region
and shadow of death light is sprung up. From that time Jesus began to preach
and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. St. Matthew 4:16, 17.

To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide
our feet into the way of peace. St. Luke 1:79 For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the
world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16, 17

To Be Saved

1. We must first hear and understand the word. Romans 10:14

2. And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:

3. God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. Acts 17:3

4. The Bible says that if you confess with your mouth to our Lord Jesus and if you believe in your heart, that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and with your mouth that you confess your sin and are saved. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:1

5. Peter replied, Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38,39
